Game report Ladies 2 -> 10/10/09 By Heide “Heideken” van Dorst. Edited by Carey-Louise “Kers” Roch
Location: Sports building Den Oert Spijkenisse Time: 10 October 2009 18.00 Result: 4-0 Stand-in coach: Thomas Stand-in outside player: Eline (Iris couldn’t make it due to earlier request of Spivo to postpone the match) Supporters: Former H1 / D1 coach Johnny At 15.30 the first men’s team and ladies 2 gathered for a quick snack at the Harbor quarters. Soup, bread, pizzas and Thomas´ desserts where consumed to provide enough energy for the upcoming matches in Spijkenisse. Thomas’ Seat leaded us straight away to the well-hided Den Oert Sports building. Eline, who barely slept 3 hours that night and already played a match in the morning, was so friendly to join the team since Iris couldn’t make it herself. Eline turned out to be a strong addition to the team! Despite the ladies attempt to work hard and good advice from enthusiastic Thomas, the match didn’t really go that well. A lot of individual mistakes were made, while the opponent played a solid game. Only in the final phase we were waking up and made a bit more impression on Spivo, which leaded to them suddenly playing worse. Unfortunately we weren’t good enough and they weren’t bad enough, so a 4-0 for Spivo was the result. It is worth mentioning though that tiny Carey made her first impressing “killing block”, resulting to a big smile and loud WHEN I SAY BRICK! (..) Overall, Ladies, we can do (it, do it, do it) BETTER! Let’s kick some ass next time! The group intensively checked out the catering (check next catering review) and transported itself to their safe home town and went to a great party of Aletta and Alex on a boat in Leuvehaven. The “harde kern” stayed a while and had quite some good laughs with the “Ping Pang Pong” game of Martijn, which will be further described in the Alcatraz. Explanation will be given about why a.o. “Ping Pang Nou” “Ping Pang jij” “Ping Pang ja, nou snap ik het niet meer”, “Ping Pang <silence> are not correct! |
